Native, Non-Native, & “Invasive” Plant Species Conversation Series

We often hear that native species are good and non-native species, especially those that are considered to be invasive, are bad. Yet the story about these species is much more complicated and interesting. Some non-native species are still very valuable for pollinators. Some "invasives" have benefits that could be uplifted, with caution. Those of us whose ancestors migrated to the lands on which we live today may have deep connections with plants that originated on another continent.

Join us for our first Conversation Series on the topic of native, non-native, and invasive plant species. We have invited three different speakers to share with us their relational and professional experiences with plants. They will share their views, experiences, and practices and perhaps some things we have not yet considered. Come, listen to or read about these conversations and see if you learn something new, share similar experiences, or beg to differ.
